Three Words: Use Filtered Water
Using filtered water is key. If there is one step to not compromise on, it’s your water.
Coffee is 98% water after all, so it only makes sense to use water free of contaminants (like lead and chlorine) that could possibly alter your flavor.
If at-home filtered water is not available, then grab a gallon from the grocery store. We prefer spring water, as it is naturally purified (as opposed to osmosis)* and retains the beneficial minerals of calcium and magnesium.
Why do we love these minerals and their ratio within spring water? Calcium adds a full body creaminess to your coffee, while magnesium enhances coffee's natural sweetness.
Filtered water. A simple tip, yes, but we promise it makes a world of difference!
As always, enjoy your daily, tasty cup- or three.
*When it comes to coffee flavor, we are not fans of osmosis. It strips away the vital minerals of calcium and magnesium, and therefore the complete coffee tasting experience is sacrificed.
